CASTAIC, CA (March 23, 2023) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified 21-year-old Lance Lott of Castaic as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on 5 Freeway on March 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the truck scales around 2:50 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking in the road when a Ford struck him. Officers with the CHP unit and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel located the victim down in the road.
 
As a result, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to contact the CHP office at (661) 600-1600.
