APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 23, 2023) – Officials identified 27-year-old Dylan Austin Magnant Sr. as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 18 on March 15.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 12:23 AM. Based on a report, Magnant was walking in the No. 2 eastbound lane of the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 2003 GMC Yukon struck him.
 
As a result, Magnant suffered grave injuries in the incident. He was then pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
His sister launched a GoFundMe account to help raise funds and give him a memorial service.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
