Kevin Martinez Killed, Darron Phillips Arrested for DUI after Accident on Stalcup Road in Fort Worth

 
FORT WORTH, TX (September 12, 2022) – Police reported the arrest of Darron Phillips following a DUI accident that killed Kevin Martinez on Stalcup Road, August 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 3700 block of Stalcup Road at approximately 2:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, an initial accident was blocking the road prior to the crash. At that point, Martinez had stopped his vehicle and was waiting to turn to detour around the scene. Then, Phillips’s vehicle hit Martinez’s car.
 
As a result, 21-year-old Martinez died in the incident.
 
In addition, officers arrested 39-year-old Fort Worth resident Phillips. They booked him into the Fort Worth Jail on a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
 
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
