Jay Wadsworth Killed, Robbie Stevens and Michael McCann Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Farm to Market 1585 [Lubbock County, TX]

85-Year-Old Jay Wadswort, Robbie Stevens, Michael McCann Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Lubbock County

 
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (September 12, 2022) – Police identified 85-year-old Jay Guy Wadsworth of Lubbock as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash in the 4200 block of Farm to Market 1585 on September 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 8:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, a tractor was heading northbound on FM 1585 prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it collided with two pickup trucks coming from the eastbound side of the road.
 
As a result, the tractor driver, Wadsworth, died on the scene.
 
Inside the first pickup truck was passenger Robbie Jean Stevens of Justiceburg, Texas, who suffered injuries. The driver of the second pickup, 60-year-old Michael Reeves McCann of Ropesville, Texas also sustained injuries.
 
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
