BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 8, 2023) – The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified 42-year-old Kevin Mathew Harrison of Weldon who died in a pedestrian accident on North Chester Avenue on May 27.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Warren Avenue. Based on a report, Harrison was walking eastbound on North Chester Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
He was outside of a crosswalk when an SUV that was traveling northbound on Chester Avenue struck him.
 
As a result, Harrison suffered grave injuries and died at the scene around 9:24 PM.
 
Police did not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in this incident.
