Kennedy Stovall Charged in Crash on 205 Freeway in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, WA (January 10, 2023) – Police identified 23-year-old Kennedy E. Stovall of Beaverton as the motorist who suffered injuries in a crash on the 205 Freeway bridge on January 3.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 2:42 PM. Based on a report, Stovall was driving a Subaru Forester in the left-most lane prior to the crash.
At the same time, 63-year-old Kevin J. Blomdahl of Washougal was driving north in the second lane.
As Stovall attempted to pass Blomdahl’s vehicle by getting into the right-most lane, her Subaru struck the front of Blomdahl’s Toyota Tundra. Then, she hit the right-side barrier before coming to rest in the second lane.
As a result, Stovall suffered injuries in the incident. Crews took him to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver for treatment.
Blomdahl was not hurt.
The State Patrol referred charges against Stovall for reckless driving and driving without insurance. The agency said the cause of the crash was an unsafe lane change.
