LUBBOCK, TX (January 16, 2024) — A 22-year-old woman identified as Kendra Finch sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on Wednesday, January 10.
 
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the crash happened in the 1800 block of South Loop 289 at Avenue P just after 10:00 p.m.
 
Officers responded to the scene, and they found Finch lying in the roadway. Then they transported her to University Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Investigators believe Finch tried to cross the loop on foot. Then a passing vehicle struck her. After that, the vehicle fled the scene.
 
As of Thursday morning, there had been no arrests made.
 
Police continue to investigate the incident.
