Kelvin Ayala-Cartagena Charged with DUI after Crash in Spokane Valley

 
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (April 9, 2024) – Officers charged 26-year-old Kelvin Ayala-Cartagena of New Orleans with DUI following a crash on Trent Avenue on March 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Flora Road shortly before 8:00 PM. Based on a report, Ayala-Cartagena was heading east on Trent Avenue prior to the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he crossed the center median and hit a car. The impact sent that car into a third vehicle.
 
As a result, Ayala-Cartagena and one of the other drivers suffered injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
Ayala-Cartagena is now facing DUI charges.
