Karalynn Kincaid Fatally Injured in Commerce City Hit-and-Run Accident

 
COMMERCE CITY, CO (April 18, 2023) — A 16-year-old girl identified as Karalynn Kincaid died in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, April 11.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred at around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of East 76th Avenue and Leyden Street near Commerce City.
 
The 16-year-old girl tried to cross 76th Avenue. However, a red Dodge Magnum struck her while she was in the crosswalk and fled the scene.
 
Neighbor Stephanie Velazquez saw the crash and performed CPR on Kincaid until police arrived. However, Kincaid still died of sustained injuries.
 
Investigators are still searching for the driver of a red Dodge Magnum involved in the crash. CSP said the vehicle likely has damage to the front headlights.
