LYNWOOD, WA (October 10, 2024) — A 29-year-old Lynwood woman identified as Kaitlin Wester died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday, September 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 99 at Shelby Road shortly after 6:00 a.m.
 
WSP said Wester walked southbound in the left lane of Highway 99. Then a vehicle driven southbound by a 45-year-old Everett woman hit her.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
Police said they do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the collision.
