Justin Marr Arrested and Woman Dead after North Las Vegas Hit-and-Run

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (October 7, 2024) — Authorities arrested 27-year-old Justin Marr after a fatal hit-and-run on Monday, September 23.
 
According to the North Las Vegas Police, the incident occurred at about 9:13 p.m. in the area of Civic Center Drive and Webb Avenue.
 
According to police, a “white box style work truck” moving north on Civic Center went off the road. After that, it jumped the curb of the east sidewalk and struck the woman.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the truck continued north on Civic Center and got into another crash a few minutes later. Police said no one was hurt in the second collision.
 
NLVPD later released an image of the suspect vehicle described as a white single-cab Chevrolet utility vehicle. On Tuesday afternoon, police later received a tip that of the vehicle at a business in the 100 block of Gibson Road. Traffic investigators then arrived at the business and impounded the vehicle.
 
At around 4:20 p.m. on the same afternoon, Marr, who was the driver of the Chevrolet work truck turned himself in.
 
Authorities then booked Marr into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center for the DUI warrant. He currently faces multiple charges including reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm, and various traffic-related offenses.
