Judy Recendiz Identified in Fatal Wichita Falls Crash
WICHITA FALLS, TX (November 9, 2023) – Officials identified 68-year-old Judy Recendiz of Wichita Falls who died in a two-vehicle crash on 11th Street on October 20.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Scott Street at approximately 5:14 PM. Based on a report, Recendiz was driving a 2000 Chevy Impala near the intersection at the time of the crash.
As she entered the intersection from 11th Street, she did not yield to the northbound traffic on Scott Street. A 2021 Chevy Equinox driving northbound on Scott Street struck the driver’s side of the Impala.
As a result, Recendiz and a 75-year-old passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Crews transported them to United Regional Hospital, where Recendiz’s condition deteriorated. He later died.
The driver of the Equinox was not hurt in the crash.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
