Juan Rodrigues Killed, Wrong-Way Driver Aaron Guerrero Injured in Head-On Crash in Ector County

 
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (February 22, 2023) – Officers identified 23-year-old Juan Rodrigues of Andrews as the victim who died in a car crash on Highway 385 on February 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before midnight. Based on a report, Rodrigues was traveling north on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 37-year-old Aaron Guerrero of Brownwood was driving his truck south on the wrong side of the road. Subsequently, Guerrero struck Rodrigues’ vehicle head-on.
 
As a result, Rodrigues suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
 
Crews transported his passenger and Guerrero to Medical Center Hospital in stable conditions.
 
Police said they are preparing intoxication manslaughter charges against Guerrero.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
