Joshua Woodral Identified in Fatal Single-Car Crash on County Road 229 in Smith County

 
SMITH COUNTY, TX (June 13, 2023) – Officers identified 28-year-old Joshua Woodral of Howe, Oklahoma who died in a rollover crash on County Road 229 on June 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the Chapel Hill area 2:20 AM. Based on a report, Woodral was driving a vehicle south on CR 229 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he lost control in a curve, overturned, and came to rest in the ditch.
 
As a result, Woodral suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
His passenger, 33-year-old Michael Beebe of Tyler, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
