Jose Hilario Killed, Woman Injured after Airway Heights Pedestrian Accident

 
AIRWAY HEIGHTS, WA (July 26, 2024) — A 64-year-old man identified as Jose Hilario died in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, July 11.
 
According to the Airway Heights Police Department, the incident occurred at around 10:10 a.m. at Hayford Road and 9th Avenue.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Hilario and a 61-year-old. Paramedics then transported them to the Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment. Hilario later died.
 
According to the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office, Hilario’s cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the woman was in critical condition Friday, according to Airway Heights Police Lt. Jake Keith.
 
Police said drugs did not play a role in the accident.
