Jon Archer Killed, Kaylin Corbin and Two Children Hospitalized after Navasota Car Accident

 
NAVASOTA, TX (April 11, 2024) — A 31-year-old man identified as Jon Archer, of Benbrook, died in a two-car crash on Friday, April 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place on Highway 105 near County Road 446 at about 7:43 a.m.
 
The initial investigation determined that a 2015 Freightliner truck traveled eastbound. DPS reports said a 2021 Nissan passenger vehicle traveled westbound and crossed the center line. Then it struck head-on the Freightliner.
 
The Grimes County Justice of the Peace Mark Laughlin pronounced Archer, who was the front seat passenger, dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the Nissan, 29-year-old Kaylin Corbin, of Benbrook, and a 3-year-old passenger to CHI St. Joesph Regional Health Hospital with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, emergency responders airlifted a 4-year-old passenger to Memorial Herman with serious injuries.
 
The Freightliner driver was not hurt.
 
Authorities handle the ongoing investigation of the crash.
