68-Year-Old Bicyclist Johnnye Walton Died after Hit by Car Accident

 
BRYAN, TX (March 3, 2023) – 68-year-old Johnnye Mary Walton died following a car accident on 29th Street and Barak Lane on Sunday, February 26.

According to authorities, the fatal accident took place near Bryan High School. An initial investigation detailed that a pickup truck failed to give the right of way to another pickup truck that was making a left turn.

As soon as the vehicles collided, one of the pickup trucks was pushed towards the sidewalk and hit Walton, who was on her bicycle.

Walton, who was waiting to cross the street, died as the result of the impact.

The occupants of both trucks did not sustain any injuries.

No further information is available. However, an investigation is ongoing.
