Fernando Alberto Balladarez Charged After Fatal Pedestrian Accident

 
PHARR, TX (March 3, 2023) – Police arrested Fernando Alberto Balladarez after a fatal pedestrian accident on Jackson Road and Ridge Road on Thursday, February 23.

According to the Pharr Police Department, the crash involved a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Balladarez and a second unidentified vehicle.

An initial investigation detailed that Balladarez struck a pedestrian and failed to render aid to the victim. The second vehicle was also involved in the crash and did not stop nor provided help to the pedestrian.

The unidentified pedestrian died at the scene, police said.

Police located and arrested 19-year-old Balladarez. He faces charges of causing an accident resulting in personal injury or death.
