Joellen Gonzalez Identified in Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (April 17, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified 29-year-old Joellen Maria Gonzalez who died in an accident on Valencia Road on April 5.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Alvernon Way. Based on a report, Gonzalez was speeding when her vehicle had a tire blowout.
 
Subsequently, she crossed the center lane and hit another vehicle traveling in the other direction.
 
As a result, Gonzalez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the other vehicle, a 52-year-old man, suffered serious injuries but was stable at the hospital. Officers said the man was not impaired at the time of the accident.
