Jocelyn Herrera Killed in Alleged Street-Racing Accident in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (May 3, 2023) — A 28-year-old woman identified as Jocelyn Herrera died after a possible street-racing crash on Wednesday, April 27.
 
According to the Pomona Police Department, the crash occurred just before midnight near Holt Avenue and Loranne Avenue.
 
Witnesses told officers that the vehicle containing the two injured people raced another vehicle. Although, police noted that they will still have to confirm this information.
 
Emergency responders transported the male driver to a local hospital in critical condition. Herrera, who is a passenger in the collision, died at the scene. She did not wear a seatbelt at the time, police said.
 
The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
 
Footage from the scene showed a Honda and a Dodge. Yet, one witness said another car may have been involved.
 
The driver of the dark-colored muscle car drove away from the scene. Pomona police continue to look for security videos from nearby businesses to find them.
