ROSCOE, TX (May 3, 2023) — A 24-year-old Sweetwater woman identified as Alexis Faith Biggs died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday, April 30.
According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened on 20 Freeway, just 1.7 miles east of Roscoe.
Reports said at around 2:40 a.m., 38-year-old Levi Shane Biggs and Alexis rode a Yahama FZ6 sport motorcycle east on 20 Freeway in Nolan County. At the same time, a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer passed them in the right lane.
However, the truck tractor pulled into the right lane too soon after passing. This caused Levi to try to steer onto the shoulder to prevent being hit. However, Alexis fell off the motorcycle.
The report said Alexis died on the scene.
Levi suffered non-life-threatening injuries. According to reports, neither of them wore helmets at the time of the accident.
Authorities have not yet found the driver of the passing truck and semi-trailer.
