Jesus Castillo Fatally Injured in Salado Accident on 35 Freeway

 
SALADO, TX (August 9, 2024) — A 64-year-old Fort Worth man identified as Jesus Castillo died in an SUV crash on Tuesday, July 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Ryan Howard, the accident took place at 35 Freeway near FM 2115, south of Salado, at about 7:15 a.m.
 
Investigating troopers said Castillo’s SUV traveled north on the 35 Freeway. Then it hydroplaned and slid into an 18-wheeler parked on the shoulder near mile marker 283.
 
Responding officers arrived at the area. Then they pronounced Castillo dead at the scene
 
There were no reports of other injuries in the incident.
 
The Texas DPS said the investigation of the crash is still underway.
