Jeff Johnson Survives Parkland Hit-and-Run on Steele Street South and 102 Street South
PARKLAND, WA (November 8, 2024) — Jeff Johnson, of Pierce County, survived a hit-and-run on Steele Street South on Tuesday, October 29.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at Steele Street South and 102 Street South at about 1:40 p.m.
The collision occurred when Johnson left a job site and a dark-colored sedan struck him. The impact of the collision caused his pickup truck to overturn and land on its roof.
Johnson used his pocketknife to cut off the airbag so he could get out through the window of his vehicle.
After the incident, the hit-and-run driver made a U-turn and stopped. However, the driver left the scene once they noticed Johnson exiting the truck.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for the dark-colored sedan with front-end damage. They urge anyone with information on the driver or the vehicle’s whereabouts is asked to contact them at 253-287-4455.
