Ethan Guerrero Fatally Injured in Midland Motorcycle Accident

 
MIDLAND, TX (November 8, 2024) — A 33-year-old Odessa man, Ethan James Guerrero, died in a motorcycle accident on Monday, October 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, it occurred at about 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of West County Road 100 near South County Road 1305.
 
The initial investigation determined that Guerrero rode a Kawasaki motorcycle and failed to control his speed. At the same time, a Kenworth truck, driven by 40-year-old Caleb Levi Wimp, of Midland, tried to turn into a private drive. Then Guerrero’s motorcycle struck the rear of the truck.
 
Authorities said they transported Guerrero to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, where he died from his injuries the next day. Reports said he wore a helmet.
 
Meanwhile, Wimp did not sustain any injuries.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
