Tristen Andersen Killed in Bonham Pedestrian Accident on Highway 121
BONHAM, TX (November 8, 2024) — A 15-year-old Bonham teen, Tristen Andersen, died in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday, October 23.
According to the Bonham Police Department, a vehicle struck Andersen while he was walking along Highway 121.
After the incident, the driver dialed 911. At the same time, a witness administered CPR to Andersen until EMS arrived.
Then paramedics took over and brought Andersen to the hospital in critical condition on Wednesday. However, he succumbed to his injuries and died two days later.
His sister, Dani Day, said that they want Andersen to be recognized as a hero. She said that he donated vital organs that will save the lives of eight people.
A GoFundMe made to honor Andersen said he was a Bonham High School freshman. The fundraiser page described him as someone who touched many lives with his generosity and kindness. In addition, the page said they are raising funds to help his family with funeral costs.
