Jason Williams Killed in Hit-and-Run on Highway 69 at Seneca Road [Tyler County, TX]

Jason Williams Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver near Woodville

 
TYLER COUNTY, TX (October 4, 2023) – Officials identified 41-year-old Jason Williams of Jasper who died in a hit-and-run on Highway 69 on September 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Seneca Road around 7:40 PM, south of Woodville. Based on a report, a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling south on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle struck Williams who was walking in the roadway. The driver then fled the scene, without giving aid to the victim.
 
As a result, Williams suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Troopers then found the pickup truck’s 18-year-old driver from Sour Lake. They turned over the case to the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
