Nicholas Trondsen Killed in Rear-End Crash on West Avra Valley Road [Pima County, AZ]

Nicholas Trondsen Identified in Fatal Crash in Pima County

 
PIMA COUNTY, AZ (October 4, 2023) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department identified 57-year-old Nicholas Trondsen who died in a rear-end crash on West Avra Valley Road on October 1.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Portland Avenue. Based on a report, Trondsen was driving west on Avra Valley Road at the time of the crash.
 
When he pulled off the road to the right, a second car which was also heading west rear-ended his vehicle.
 
As a result, Trondsen sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries. Crews transported them to a local hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
