James Earl Cox Killed, Luis Roberto Zamorano Hurt in Crash on US 62/180

 
EL PASO, TX (December 2, 2022) – 24-year-old James Earl Cox died while Luis Roberto Zamorano injured in a crash on US 62/180 last Wednesday afternoon, November 23.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Zamorano was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado westbound in one of the single lanes on the highway when he tried to enter a “no passing” zone and collided with a 2020 Ford Transit in the eastbound that Cox was driving.

Cox died at the scene, police said.

Zamorano sustained injuries but his condition is unknown.

No further information is available. However, an investigation is ongoing.
