ODESSA, TX (December 8, 2022) – Odessa Police arrested 32-year-old James Thomas Allen after leaving the scene of a bicycle accident on 67th Street on December 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Dixie Boulevard. Based on a report, Allen was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he struck a bicyclist and left the scene.
 
As a result, the victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
Witnesses at the scene said the driver of the truck told them he had been drinking and had to leave but he provided them an address. Police found and took Allen into custody for Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle, Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury, and Evading Arrest.
