4 Killed in Renton Solo-Car Accident on Rainier Avenue North

 
RENTON, WA (August 24, 2023) — 18-year-old Jaliza Alabe and three others died after a solo-car crash on Saturday, August 5.
 
According to the Renton police, the accident took place 400 block of Rainier Avenue North at around 1:15 a.m.
 
The investigation determined that a 2004 Toyota Camry traveled at a high rate of speed. Then the driver lost control, slid down the road, and hit a tree. The impact split the vehicle down the middle.
 
The force of the crash also ejected several of the five occupants from the car. The front of the vehicle also caught fire. Police said four victims died at the scene.
 
Authorities later released the identities of all deceased victims, all of whom are in their late teens or early 20s. 19-year-old Alabe, 18-year-old Fa’afeai Roeshar-Jolaine Monroe, 22-year-old Aaliek Davis, and 22-year-old Eusebio Masso-Jackson – all died in the crash.
 
Paramedics transported another person to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
 
No other information is known at this time.
