Ivan Martinez Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Accident in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 11, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified 42-year-old Ivan Trodosechky Paniagua Martinez of California who died in an accident on 15 Freeway on November 22.

According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened near the Las Vegas Speedway exit around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Martinez was driving an Isuzu NRR box truck on the freeway before the crash.

At the same time, a silver 2020 Peterbilt truck and a black 2020 Peterbilt were traveling on the same road. When the sliver truck slowed down for traffic, Martinez attempted to change lanes. Subsequently, the victim collided with the black Peterbilt trailer before sliding into the silver Peterbilt trailer and rolling over. Both Peterbilt trucks partially pulled off the road, while the Isuzu came to rest upside down on the silver Peterbilt’s trailer.

As a result, Martinez sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.

NSP said the Freightliner waited for traffic to clear and left southbound through a restricted median.

As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.

We offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family and friends of Ivan Trodosechky Paniagua Martinez.
