Ignacio Zamudio Identified in Fatal Crane Crash on Highway 329
CRANE, TX (January 10, 2023) – Officers identified 21-year-old Ignacio Rangel Zamudio of Odessa as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 287 on January 4.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at mile marker 260 at approximately 9:27 PM.
Based on a report, Zamudio was driving a Ford F-150 westbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
As a result, Zamudio suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
Crews took the driver of the semi-truck to a hospital in Odessa in stable condition.
As of now, the crash remains under investigation.
