Hyemoon Kim, Christopher Evans and Dakota Almazan Killed in Williams Plane Crash

 
WILLIAMS, AZ (October 26, 2023) – The Williams Police Department identified 31-year-old Hyemoon Kim of South Korea, 44-year-old Christopher Evans of La Mesa, California and 51-year-old Dakota L Almazan of Las Vegas who died in a plane crash on October 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 12:20 PM. Based on a report, the victims were on board a single-engine Piper PA-28 that departed H.A. Clark Memorial Field Airport prior to the crash.
 
After the plane took off, witnesses heard the plane operating at low power. It then turned to a northerly direction back towards the airport where the plane came down in a field nearby.
 
Police and the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash site. First responders found two people inside the plane and a third outside of it. They confirmed that Kim – the pilot – and his two passengers – Evans and Almazan – died in the incident.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
