Three People Harmed After Teen Speeding Caused Crash on Highway 50
TWIN BRIDGES, CA (February 17, 2025) – A family of husband, wife, and son, were injured following a speeding-related crash on Highway 50 on Friday morning, February 7.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 10:00 a.m. It involved a Nissan occupied by the family and a Subaru driven by a teenager, police said.
Reports revealed that the Nissan pulled over to the shoulder of Twin Bridges. The husband was outside the vehicle working on the left rear tire when the Subaru, traveling at a high rate of speed, crashed into the Nissan.
The impact of the crash caused the husband to be pinned between two vehicles and thrown up in the air.
Meanwhile, the Nissan was pushed up against the guardrail, police said.
Medics took the 54-year-old husband/driver of the Nissan to a local hospital with major injuries.
His wife and 10-year-old son were also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Investigation into the incident remains open and active.
