Humberto Morin Jr. Killed after Head-On Accident on Highway 59 near Mile Marker 818

 
WEBB COUNTY, TX (December 5, 2023) — A man identified as 46-year-old Humberto Morin Jr. died in a head-on accident on Thursday, November 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m. on US Highway 59 near mile marker 818.
 
The initial investigation determined Morin Jr. drove a Nissan vehicle headed westbound. Then, for unknown reason, his vehicle crossed onto the wrong side of the road.
 
After that, the Nissan crashed head-on into an Audi SUV.
 
Morin Jr. – who is a San Diego, Texas resident – sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed all four passengers from the Audi to a hospital. The extent of their condition was not immediately available. A witness said two of the four passengers were teenage girls ages 10 and 14.
 
Texas DPS continue to investigate the incident.
