Police Arrested Hit-and-Run Suspect in Santa Clarita Car Crash

SANTA CLARITA, CA (November 16, 2022) – A hit-and-run suspect is now in custody after the chase with the police that ended on the Soledad Canyon Road on-ramp at the 14 Freeway on Saturday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it started after a hit-and-run accident occurred around 3:53 p.m.

The suspect initially left the white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the scene to escape by foot, but returned and drove away. This is when the officers started chasing the involved vehicle until the Soledad Canyon Road on-ramp to the 14 Freeway.

The suspect sustained dog bite injuries.

The severity of the injuries sustained by the hit-and-run crash victim was not disclosed.

At this time, an investigation is on going.
