BEAUMONT, TX (July 26, 2023) – The Beaumont Police Department identified 58-year-old Herbert Wilson who died in a hit-and-run accident in the 3700 block of College Street on July 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 9:50 PM. Based on a report, the victim was a homeless man.
 
Police said Wilson was crossing College Street when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
 
Police responded and confirmed that Wilson died due to grave injuries.
