Bicyclist Dana Fells Struck and Injured in Denver

 
DENVER, CO (July 26, 2023) – Denver Police identified Dana Fells who sustained serious injuries in a bicycle accident on West 41st Avenue on July 15.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Irving Street. Based on a report, Fells was on their way to work, biking on a newly-designated bikeway at the eastbound side of 41st Avenue.
 
At the same time, a vehicle was headed north on Irving Street. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle did not stop at the stop sign and hit Fells.
 
As a result, Fells and her bike ended up underneath the car. She sustained five leg fractures, pelvic fractures and internal bleeding. Crews transported her to Denver Health Medical Center, where she remains in serious condition.
 
Her employer set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for her recovery.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
