Herardo Canales Identified in Fatal Accident on Highway 349 in Midland County

 
MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (September 12, 2023) – Officers identified 37-year-old Herardo Canales of La Feria who died in an accident on Highway 349 on September 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at about 9.5 miles south of Midland around 7:35 AM. Based on a report, Canales was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2018 Kenworth with trailer was traveling southbound on the same road. For an unknown reason, Canales veered over into the southbound lanes and hit into the side of the Kenworth and its trailer.
 
As a result, Canales suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
