Allen Gonzales Killed by Semi-Truck after Car Brakes Down in Amarillo

 
AMARILLO, TX (September 12, 2023) – Officers identified 57-year-old Allen Gonzales who died in an accident on Dumas Highway on September 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at Cherry Avenue around 12:40 AM. Based on a report, the victim’s car broke down on the side of Dumas Highway prior to the crash.
 
A witness told police that he met him to retrieve property from the car. Subsequently, while Gonzales was getting stuff out of his car, a semi-truck hit him and kept driving.
 
As a result, Gonzales suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
