TYLER, TX (September 12, 2023) – The Tyler Police Department identified 27-year-old David McKeethan Jr. who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 31 on September 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened near the Tyler Animal Control. Based on a report, the victim was on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him, causing him grave injuries.
 
As a result, McKeethan Jr. died in the incident.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene.
