Cyclist Harvest Youngblood Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (September 15, 2023) – The Lubbock Police Department identified 63-year-old Harvest Youngblood who died in a bicycle accident on 19th Street on September 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Dover Avenue around 10:05 PM. Based on a report, Youngblood was attempting to walk north with a bicycle.
 
At the same time, 20-year-old Noah Byford was driving an SUV west in the 5600 block of 19th Street. Due to unknown reasons, Byford struck Youngblood.
 
As a result, Youngblood sustained grave injuries in the incident. Crews took him to University Medical Center, where he later died.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
