Torrey Kirkmeyer, Jeremy Kirkmeyer Identified in Fatal Tacoma Crash

 
TACOMA,WA (September 15, 2023) – Troopers identified 33-year-old Jeremy Kirkmeyer and 30-year-old Torrey Kirkmeyer who died in a crash on Highway 16 on September 1.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge’s toll plaza. Based on a report, the Bremerton residents were riding a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic eastbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2008 Ford Explorer was heading in the same direction. Due to unknown reasons, the Explorer crossed into the victims’ lane and hit their vehicle. They then hit a safety barrier following the crash impact.
 
As a result, both victims sustained grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews took two occupants of the Ford to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
