Gina Herrera Identified in Fatal Beaumont Crash on Highway 60
BEAUMONT, CA (January 26, 2023) – Officers identified 47-year-old Gina Marie Herrera of Westminster, Colorado as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 60 on January 20.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Jack Rabbit Trail around 10:20 PM. Based on a report, Herrera was driving a Honda Civic going westbound on Highway 60 at an unconfirmed speed in the No. 2 lane.
Due to unknown reasons, her sedan collided with a Cadillac CTS driven by a 20-year-old Moreno Valley woman in the fast lane. Subsequently, the impact pushed the Honda into the eastbound side. There, a Kia Niro broadsided its passenger side.
As a result, Herrera died at the scene after sustaining grave injuries.
It was not clear if there were other injuries in the incident. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
