Gerardo Ulloa Killed, Juan Perez Arrested in Hit-and-Run on Alamo Road at Wisconsin Road [Edinburg, TX]

EDINBURG, TX (July 14, 2023) – Officials identified 50-year-old Gerardo Ulloa of Edinburg who died in a pedestrian accident on Alamo Road on July 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Wisconsin Road around 4:26 AM. Based on a report, 40-year-old Juan Antonio Perez of Pharr was driving a GMC Sierra at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Perez hit Ulloa and fled the scene.
 
As a result, Ulloa suffered grave injuries and died.
 
DPS troopers found the suspect’s truck with front left damage and blood on the driver’s side. Officials arrested Perez on charges of intoxication manslaughter and booked into the Hidalgo County Jail.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
