Jasmin Griffin and Eddie Bell Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Jefferson

 
JEFFERSON, TX (July 14, 2023) – Officials identified 25-year-old Jasmin Griffin and 32-year-old Eddie Bell who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 59 on July 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Farm-to-Market Road 2208 around 8:55 AM. Based on a report, Griffin was traveling westbound on the market road when she drove into highway and collided with a 2015 Peterbilt Truck Tractor towing a trailer and another vehicle.
 
As a result, Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene. Belle, one of her passengers, later died at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport.
 
A second passenger in Griffin’s car, a 5-year-old from Jefferson, sustained non-incapacitating injuries. Crews transported the victim to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall.
 
Crews also rushed the other drivers, 58-year-old Steven Hendrix of Douglassville and 61-year-old Steven Brady of Pittsburg to the hospital for their injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
