Gary Grantham Killed in Springdale Car Crash

 
SPRINGDALE, WA (June 27, 2024) — A Springdale man, 76-year-old Gary Grantham, died in a car accident on Thursday, June 13.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Highway 231 near Reservation Road, about an hour north of Spokane.
 
Troopers said Grantham drove a CR-V south on Highway 231. Then he crossed the center line and struck a Jeep moving northbound.
 
Grantham died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought the two occupants in the other vehicle to the hospital. The extent of their condition is not immediately available. Authorities only identified them as a couple from Kettle Falls.
 
WSP said they have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
 
WSP said Stevens County Fire and Aid also responded to the scene and WSDOT helped with traffic control.
