Juan Munoz Arrested after Fatal Hit-and-Run in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (June 27, 2024) — Authorities arrested a Dallas driver, 31-year-old Juan Morgan Munoz, after a hit-and-run on Saturday, June 15.
 
According to Dallas Police, the accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on West Northwest Highway near the 1800 block of Storey Lane.
 
Officers responded to the scene and discovered that a driver believed to be Munoz, struck a pedestrian in the northbound lane of West Northwest Highway. After that, he left the scene.
 
Police said Munoz drove about a mile away. Then he dialed 911 to report the crash.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of loved ones.
 
Authorities charged Munoz with felony DWI and collision involving death. They said he might face additional charges.
