Franklin Robinson Killed in Rear-End Crash on Sheep Creek Road at Phelan Road [Phelan, CA]

73-Year-Old Franklin Robinson Identified in Fatal Phelan Crash, 8-Year-Old Boy injured

 
PHELAN, CA (January 13, 2023) – The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified 73-year-old Franklin Robinson of Phelan who died in a semi-truck crash on Sheep Creek Road on January 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Phelan Road around 7:29 AM. Based on a report, Robinson’s Nissan Frontier was stopped at a red light prior to the crash.
 
Then, a driver steering his semi-truck into the back of a Walmart semi-truck hit his car from behind. Subsequently, a 2011 Mazda CX7 approached both vehicles from behind and also struck the back of the Nissan.
 
As a result, Robinson died at the hospital after suffering severe injuries.
 
His grandson – an 8-year-old child – was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center in stable condition.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
