Frank Addison Dead, Kevin Graham Hurt in Garbage Truck Accident on State Highway 64 near County Road 212

 
TYLER, TX (May 3, 2023) — A man identified as 69-year-old Frank Addison of Laneville died in a garbage truck crash on Tuesday, April 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the two-car crash happened at around 7:55 a.m. on State Highway 64 near County Road 212.
 
A garbage truck, driven by 47-year-old Thomas Graham of Tyler, was stopped on County Road 212 with his passengers 43-year-old Kevin Graham and 54-year-old Daniel Hiett, both of Tyler.
 
According to DPS’s initial investigation, Addison drove an SUV west on Highway 64 as Graham tried to turn west onto the highway. However, Graham failed to yield to the right of way to Addison’s vehicle. The garbage truck then crashed into Addison’s SUV.
 
Addison died at the scene.
 
Medics rushed Kevin Graham to the hospital with minor injuries. Thomas Graham and Hiett were not hurt.
 
According to DPS, all the people involved in the crash did not wear a seatbelt. However, authorities continue to investigate the incident.
